Dangerous. Archer is dads ritehand man. He had me followed n watched back home bc of my former status as the rocket heir. Im not that n im now an Aqua Grunt now n living w/Archie but the loc's secret b/c the place is owned by sum1 else so.

nway archer claimed it kept me safe from harm or something but where were they when i fell off the cliff tht earned me shiko?! Archer knows stupid details too, lik how I stole Oda from Elm. I told him I didnt that i got him legally n that Im not from the same Universe as him!

but i dont want him to no bc i want him to doubt enough i'm not the stupid kid i am

Well, I think it's time we got more folks involved, so it makes sense to have more than one meeting so the group doesn't get so big that no one can really talk. So I was wondering if you'd like to lead one of the meetings.

[ For a moment it was... Accusational, as if Ruby had taken it as 'do you really think I'm capable of the empathy required to do this? me?' but she quickly decided to add on in a second text, grateful that text had no inherent tone. This time, there was disbelief as she typed.. ]

I mean, what qualifies me? I'm willing to try, but I don't really know where to start, or what makes me an ideal candidate?

I'll need to postpone next week's training-- my siblings are throwing a birthday party at our new place in Nonah on October 1st. You're welcome to stop by if you wanted to. There should be a few people around your age, too, so it should be okay. If you wanted to come, I mean.

[ On the evening of the 15th, a simple white envelope appears at the front door. Inside is a small card, with the following written on it. ]

You are formally invited to this year's small gathering of Winterfest, located at Harry's Dresden's residence on the 21st of this December. The doors will be open from 8 pm, but the true celebration takes place around 10 pm to midnight. Come any time, and stay or go as you like.

[ Ruby is surprised when she opens the envelope and finds an invitation. Everything else she'd been invited to had been over the network, so this somehow felt special. She grinned a little and took it back inside. About an hour later she messages Harry. ]

What type of clothes are supposed to be worn at the party?

[Ruby gets a small package in the mail around Christmas. Inside, she'll find a note that simply says "merry Christmas," along with a hand-carved ornament of a bird with its wings outstretched.

He did decide to include a return address, so she'll be able to tell who this is from.]

[ On January first Ruby comes by with a box and places it on the front step. It has his address, and her return address, but she didn't trust the mail to get it there on the right day.

Inside the box is a castella cake she made herself, and a letter. The letter says 'Happy new year. Thank you for the gift. I made you one in return.' and she has drawn some mountains and eggplants, and what is probably meant to be a bird on the card. ]

As for school, sorta? We're trying to figure out what the deal is with the math thing. But in the mean time my grades are being based on my homework, which I've been doing anyway.

Hey! Not too bad. I mean, no robots of me yet, though I have felt like someone's been watching me. But really I can't tell if it's malicious or just fans being fans.

[On her doorstep, Ruby will find a wrapped package addressed to her. Along with a funny Christmas card, she will find a tupperware container of chocolate chip cookies, and some good hair brushes for dogs. Hopefully they will help with any future fluff monsters!]

[ The day before Christmas a gift will come from Ruby. A hand made Christmas cake placed in a sturdy cake box will be on her front door. Or, well, beside it. Just so that it doesn't get stepped on by accident. Under the cake box is an envelope with a dog-pun christmas card. In is she says 'Thank you!' as well as the customary holiday greetings. ]

[ Sadly, Kaneki isn't well versed with the whole Christmas thing and doesn't know in which day he should be giving presents, so his will be delivered on the 26th. Ruby will receive a box with some cute mochi that he made himself.

And of course a note saying "Thank you so much for everything. I hope you had a lovely Christmas" ]

[ Ruby grins when she gets the mochi, and happily eats them over the course of the day. It had been a while since she'd had mochi that wasn't from a speciality grocer.

On the 27th he'll find a Christmas cake waiting for him, apparently hand delivered.

Well. It's the thought that counts, right?

There's also a card: It's for new years and is a dog pun. Inside she writes "Have a good new year. I'm glad things went well.

PS: The Mochi was SUPER tasty." ]
